Objective: The main objective of this course is to design any process using the background of the previous chemical engineering cources. At the same time, students will be able to realize the usage of mathematics, basic science and engineering knowledge. To introduce the students with different type of processes, to define the meaning of the importance of the human relations and social sciences.To teach the students to define the different cources related with chemical engineering design and analyse them to make reasonable assumptions, To train the students to model and solve the problems at steady and unsteady state processes with different units, to give the consciousness of safety, trust, in terms of economy and efficiency evaluation of process results including with the ethical responsibilities.
Content: The course is the general application of the courses taken throughout the education of Chemical Engineering to process design. It contains the subjects of Understanding of chemical processes; Process conditions and synthesis of process flow diagrams. Estimation of capital investment and operating costs; Health, safety and environmental aspects of process design; Design of process units (piping, heat exchangers, reactor and separation units).
